We’re expanding Arctic Food Arena’s Knowledge Hub with new cases from both physical and digital study visits, showcasing how industrial symbiosis is taking shape in northern Sweden.

First out is DC Farming, a circular food initiative in Boden, Norrbotten County, that combines waste heat from data centers, food waste from local retailers, and social innovation into a new kind of food system.

With hydroponic cultivation, insect farming, and a cooperative social enterprise model, DC Farming demonstrates how local surplus resources can be turned into value — both environmentally and socially.

Explore our Knowledge Hub, a growing collection of real-world cases and insights into industrial symbiosis in action. Updated regularly with new examples from both physical and digital study visits.
